Guide to configuring 3D-print quoting, WooCommerce sales and production management.
Quick start
Install and activate Birlo 3D Print Pro, validate the licence and check WooCommerce integration. Configure print profiles, materials, printers and quoting parameters before publishing the configurator.
1. Files and quoting
The plugin supports 3D files such as STL, OBJ and 3MF. Customers upload a model and the configurator calculates the order using the profiles and materials you define.
2. Order workflow
Jobs originate in WooCommerce and move into production. Review the file, material, quantity, parameters and status before manufacturing. Use preflight checks to catch issues before printing.
3. Production and planning
Manage the production queue, priorities, printer assignment and calendar. Farm Planner, smart production, Print Node and telemetry can organise work across multiple machines when configured.
4. Inventory and traceability
Register materials and lots, track consumption and FIFO inventory, and use traceability to connect jobs, material and production. Reprint functions let you repeat a job while preserving its operational reference.
5. Profiles and printers
Keep profiles separated by technology, material and printer. Validate dimensions, settings and physical output with a test print before selling a profile.
6. Troubleshooting
- Upload issue: check format, size and upload permissions.
- Unexpected price: review profile, material and quoting rules.
- Missing production job: check the WooCommerce order and job status.
- Inventory mismatch: review lots, consumption and movements.
- No update: verify the licence and connection to birlo.es.
Before selling
Test the complete journey: upload model → quote → cart → purchase → production job → printer assignment → material consumption → completion → traceability.
